StartUp Academy Vol.2 has officially started this year with 26 participants,in Hotel “Srna” Mavrovo from 21-23 November. The seminar topic was “Career Management and Idea Development” elaborated together with the team of Summer Work and Travel Alumni. The president of SWTA, Viktor Miteski, explained the “Principles of Entrepreneurship” as a starting point of this academy.
The second day started with the team building activities that enabled the participants to get to know each other better and also to see the value of working in teams. Afterwards, Kaitlin Turk the Assistant P.A. Officer in the U.S. Embassy Macedonia shared useful tips about writing professional CV, cover letter and also improving the body language during an interview.
On the last day, Marko Georgievski explained the “Step by Step Idea Development” and also how a business pitch should look and sound like. The last presenter was Olivera Kostovska, participant of the first StartUp Academy. She presented her business to be “Laundry Cafe” through the business model canvas and shared her experience from the first academy.
The seminar was closed with simulation of the “Step by Step Idea Development” where the participants were divided into groups and at end had to pitch the group ideas in front of the selection committee.
As a conclusion, the second volume of the StartUp Academy has started with great success where the participants had the opportunity to get to know each other better and promote their team player skills.
